The Car the Octi Tows.....

Featured Replies

So, the reason why i will leave my VRS estate alone is due to this money pit:

Its a MK Indy R, powered by a Holeshot Racing 1340cc Hayabusa Turbo Engine.

I have spent the last...god knows how many years perfecting this car, and I'm still a way off. No other way to put it than complete animal of a car, and from the video below, easily out performs Atom3's!

Will have to keep an eye out for you towing this, am based in Aldershot myself

413bhp in 500kg (ish) 7-type car must be fun.

I used to enjoy 160bhp in our Caterham Superlight!!

The car is 560kg as with the rather large turbo, dry sump setup and charge cooler + fluids it has adding quite a bit of weight to it. Im actually limited on power at the moment due to my injectors, need to update one bank of them to give me the fuelling for 2bar boost. Engine was built for 600bhp in a bike, but in the car as you can imagine its under a bit more load, so id be happy to get it to 500bhp.

To be honest though its all figures for the pub, what it really boils down to is all about how the power delivery is. Over the winter we are changing the boost control to work against RPM rather than a specific boost target/spool up time, to give a smoother power curve and a drivable delivery. Now that the drivetrain is as good as it can get it.

Yes me driving, I'm very self critical so id say i was being far too cautious round on the track, but that was the first time round brands on slicks.
