Skoda Dealer advises against...

Featured Replies

So, I had my vRS in for a few little niggles today and when I picked it up, we went through the bits and bobs that had been done and because of my low tread tyre, she was advising me on tyres.

I was advised against Bridgestone due to sawtoothing on 'my model' meaning the vRS estate. So I questioned it a bit, turns out they have loads in and Skoda have solely put it down to Bridgestone tyre degradation and loading on the tyre, therefore recommending us to stay well away. She didn't mention which model of tyre however. Seems like it's a direct message from Skoda as she wasn't too knowledgeable about some other stuff, so doubtful it was a personal recommendation.

Just a useless piece of information, may be of some help to someone who is suffering the problem.

its a problem caused  by wheel alignment.. the fix is to have your geometry set right.

Happened to me with Maxxis tyres.

I read somewhere on the internet that it was something that was more likely with a tread pattern with large tread blocks.

If that's true then it'll be individual models of tyres that get affected.

Yeah she said about tread blocks moving or something creating uneven wear.
