Audi A1 - S1 LED number plate lights

Featured Replies

Searched for an answer but as VAG group don;t have any lovely REALOEM system like BMW and Honda its hard to cross reference parts.  Now being VAG i am assuming the A1 and polo will share the rear number plate lights.  I have seen a few A1's with LED rear number plate lights so wondered if A) they are the same size and B) if anyone has fitted them without issue on a Fabia.

We used to do the same on BMW 1 series, fit the later LED lights to earlier 130i's and was a cheap modernising mod ( £22 for the pair)

Why? Why not buy some decent festoon led error free bulbs and pop them in the existing holders?

I did mine last year. It looks miles better and havent had any problems with it at all since.

I'll take a pic later (when it goes dark) if you're interested?

because usually the aftermarket ones are too bright, always found genuine oem ones give a classier original look.  Get some pics and lets have a look

cool, you got a link for the bulbs i need?

What years your car? Its a different holder for the facelift than the prefacelift mk2.

Check to see if youve got any torx screws holding in your bulb holder or if youve got the ones thst you have to prise out.

If its the latter... These are what i used..

They do go in the holder but are twisted abit. You cant tell once the holder is back in the car though

I swapped my standard ones for festoon error free LED's and they look ace, especially against my aluminium plates.

Can get them on ebay for a couple of quid, really cheap mod.

^ pics taken before I put my new plates on obviously!
