Hi folks,

 

Is there any 'knack' in or approach for removing the interior front passenger drivers door handle (casing).  Ive got a new one to go on but the old one seems stuck fast & dont want to mangle it.

Prise it out from the bottom i think mate. At least how the back ones come off

It's a pain in he @rse - tried to get mine off without scratching and bending the seams but it wouldn't  :no:

Hmmm gave it a bit of persuasion with a flat screwdriver but it didnt want to know.

 

The numpty who designed them needs a prize.

After a while the plastic barbs that hold it in almost seem to weld themselves in place! Best way is get a couple of thin screwdrivers in the small gap between the two parts and then rock the handle up/down while exerting a lot of outward force. Took me two hours the first time.

Try to get one of those pointed tools in gently at the base, I start with the straight one till I have a gap, then swap to the 90 degree one and carefully slide it up the gap till I have a gap big enough for hands.
