Octavia 2012 petrol 2.0 VRS.

 

I'm after some clarification on a couple of things:-

 

Is this engine belt or chain driven? what are recommended replacement intervals from Skoda?

 

I have the Bolero sound system, is it straight forward to change to the Columbus with sat nav and bluetooth and what sort of cost to do, any programming required?

 

I would like to change the manual dim rear view mirror to automatic, any ideas on costs and work required?

Chain I think, but not certain.

Straight swap, but you'll need to add a GPS antenna under the dash and get it coded to the car with VCDS to achieve full functionality.

BT is not built in to the Columbus. You won't get this unless you already have it or add a separate module.

Eddie_NL on here has added auto diming exterior mirrors to his Octavia. Search for his thread to see how much work is involved and PM him to ask about part numbers, etc.

The interior mirror dimming requires a new windscreen to fit the correct sensors to, I believe.
