Have just bought a 2011 Monte Carlo  1.2tsi 15k miles  with Dunlops SP SPORT MAX on Front and Pirelli PZERO NERO on Rear

 

Very slight pull to left but not concerned.

 

What tyres are best all round for grip & Road Noise ??

 

Car is super, like a dodgem car, point it and it goes.

 

Any input please

Which are the best tyres is abit like asking which is the best football team - everyone will say theirs is the best lol!

I think most people agree tho that the Dunlops are poor so get 'em off.

Had the Dunlops from factory on our Monte TSI 86 but the car was trying to turn left; not just pull. Eventually under warranty the tyres were replaced with pzero nero all round, along with a third re track and the cars been fine since, even on 15" Uniroyal winters.

 

Would in general recommend the pzero, as it seems to work well in all conditions, although it can be a little noisy on heavily surface dressed roads.

 

As a side note our newish Spaceback also has the Dunlops but in 215/40 R17 size. No pulling this time and the grip is generally good but the steering with more miles is starting to feel a little woolly, they are noisy and transmit to much vibration into the chassis.
