Park Lights

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am having trouble replacing the park lights in the headlight of my Octavia II FL 2012.

I can remove the headlight and replace the H7 and H1 but the 12v Park light is proving troublesome.

If there is another post about this I'm happy to try find it but right now i feel like an absolute idiot not being able to do it.

Thanks for your replies

If the Australian MkII FL is the same as the UK model then the parking (sometimes called sidelight) bulbs are not connected as the DRL on a dimmer setting is used as the side/parking lights.  The bulbs are just there to fill the holes!

Thought this only applied to the Vrs Version

If it is a non VRs and same spec as UK then the parking bulbs do work. I'm also happy changing the main headlight bulbs but dread trying the little ones. No advice- sorry!

Yes can be a nightmare long nose pliers squeeze the tabs on  the holder twist and keep pulling till they become free.

As above you need to pull really hard, I mean really hard!

Some of us have even removed the securing lugs before re-inserting the bulb holder back into the headlight to make the job easier next time.

Even with the lugs removed they are still a damn tight fit!

Sorry, I seemed to have given wrong info.  It seems my post only applies to vRS.
