Having seen the F1 thread I though it would be a good idea to see what people think for the WRC....

Got to be Carlos, consistancy will win in the end I feel.

The Ginger Whinger is consistant ~ I can see him taking the WRC crown and door square number "1" to Subaru next year.

I'd like Petter to win because he's still got personaility and some of his fan club are sweet too ;)

.. much as it pains me me to do it, have gone for the Frog - just feel that he is the next major talent out there and is seriously quick :airjock: ......... thats if he doesn't start to rival Colin in the crashing stakes.

....I've gone for Gronholm....just like his driving style!:)

Burns is probably the best driver, but I like Gronholm's style, and the way he rolled his 306 a couple of rallies back. :D

Well, it's this close and there are lots of tarmac rallies coming up. So I'm with Stu: don't be surprised if it will indeed be the frog. That's a mature head on young shoulders, and he is blindingly fast on tarmac.

I would love to see Petter win, but I'm afraid Pirelli will be a handicap on the next couple of events...

I would also love to see Petter do the business, but the Ginger Whinger will use the head and clock up the finishes for points with the new format.

It was great to watch the 2 young guns fight it out in Auz.

The championship should be good next year with the youngs guys of Solberg, Martin, Loeb being well able to mix it with the big boys.

solberg, solberg, solberg :drive:

A'm i slightly biast because i'm a scooby owner :D

I also like him because he is a very quick driver and he seems to have a sence of humour (unlike "doom & glume" mcrae)

I'd like Petter to win, mainly because he's cute and is a good dancer :)

However, I think that the Ginger To55er will win, primarily due to his consistency. :(

Pop quiz: when was the last time we had a champion that hadn't won any races? I was a Burnsie fan in his Scooby days, but this Mr. Consistency thing (he's now well taken over that mantle from Sainz) is really bothering me. :(

I'd be curious to know how the points would look using the old system...

Surprising Points

FIA rule changes for World championship rallying always cause discussions and often raise doubts if it is sensible for the sport. Well, we can debate about them. There is a bunch of doubtful rule changes on the way, but we have to still wait and see what comes out of it. So let

Thanks GAFF.

Oh dear, I somehow feared that.

Goes to show you that being World Champion is not about being the best driver but being the best driver capitalizing on the points system...

:soapbox: not by the time the FIA have finished bu##ering about with it!

It looks like Ford and hyundai will be out because of costs, well done FIA lets kill another successful championship ~ to$$ers !!!

Totally agree Erik - all thats going to happen now is a shrinking of the number of potential winners in any rally with lots of talented drivers unable to get a drive in a competitive car :( My real concern is that young untested talent is not going to get its chance now as the major teams are likely to go safe if they are only allowed two drivers.
