I've just booked my Octy in for a small water leak in the drivers footwell (covered under warranty). I also checked the price for an oil and filter change. To say that I was shocked was an understatment to say the least !

depends if its worth voiding you warrenty and loosing money on the car cus its got no fsh......just a thought!!

FSH is not a problem as its an interim change. I've just spoken to another dealer and the situation is this:

Fixed 10,000 mile service interval - They use 'cheap' oil which is at Skoda price abt

According to the Skoda dealers in the south that I service, "ALL" dealers use "FULLY SYNTHETIC" oil, be it for variable or fixed servicing.

Mate - I rang around five local dealers (as posted in my other thread) and in the end instead of paying

So spill the beans and tell what your place use for the 10000 fixed and the variable.

Make and grade if poss????
