Service records

Featured Replies

Do Skoda keep an online record of service history?  According to my book the DSG oil was changed at about 60k, it's now done 120k and I guess it would be worth having it changed again?  But I was just wondering if maybe it had been done since and not recorded in the book (well hoping really lol)

The gearbox works fine but I do commute about 300 miles a week.

I usually ring the dealers who have stamped the service book when I buy a car, to verify things like cambelts and other major items have been done and they have no problem telling me over the phone. I don't know if Skoda will have a national DB, but you can try asking the one who you think may have done it. Its not unusual to find discrepancies.

Gearbox oil change is £99 at a good independent anyway, not exactly expensive. 40K is the interval btw.

The first gearbox oil change was 20K miles to late, at 120K miles the car is de to have its 3rd DSG change.

Skoda dealer want £179 to do it.  It has a FSH from Skoda up till now, but it is a 10 year old car now.  Anybody know somewhere that could do it cheaper in Forest of Dean/Gloucester area?

its £150 at my local indy, be interested to see who can do it properly for less as the DSG oil is pretty expensive. The correct oil was £110 from TPS in April going on another thread.

I go to DATSC in Barry, but admittedly that's far away from Forest of Dean - fairly sure it was £99 and they are VAG/Merc specialists that *only* use OEM parts.
