Bought some Cree LED bulbs for my pre fl VRS TDi replaced the drivers side & tried it, lite up for a couple of seconds then went out, tried it a few times & same thing happened every time, put standard back in & now it keeps blowing the bulb, any ideas guys?

That will be the can-bus system cutting the power thinks bulb is blown because wattage is to low

They was ment to be can bus error free, will see what the seller has to say when they get bk to me.

It's the parking lights (side lights) after removing the Cree LEDs it blew 3 standard 501 bulbs, off I went to halfrauds & bought a new pack, put it in & touch wood it's been ok since.

I had 4w led bulbs fitted and the only way I could get them to work was to turn off the cold light diagnostics for parking lighs

Good to see you have sorted it. Best way I found was to leave the lights off after fitting for a while and then turn on but don't turn off straight afterwards as they don't like it

Cree on sidelights? use normal smd leds with canbus system
