Hi ive just changed my clutch, and as i finished up,connected the battery, a strange hissing noise can be heard from somewhere in the central area of the engine compartment, id say near the diff direction.

does anyone know what this is?

Is it a constant hissing or does it stop? If its near the diff area it could just be the systems firing up

it sounds like air being released? i was thinking it might be that

Its probably nothing to worry about.

it was actually nothing it seems! connected up today and there was no problem!

The VAG snakes don't like it, that's why.

 

But you annoyed him so much he's obviously moved out from your car
