Hi, can anyone tell me what the bottle is for under the battery on a 2011 fabia greenline II.

Power steering fluid.

 

Check level once a year (best to undo battery for this) or if you have any doubts about steering/have not checked level before.  

 

Replace fluid (VAG says "lifetime"), e.g. by using vacuum oil extractor every 3-4 years, otherwise it turns brown, contains increasing amount of water and rusts the steering rack from the inside eventually. PS fluid costs under £10 a bottle, and a bottle is enough.
