Misfire - possibly....not sure...but only on cold start for 5-10 mins

Featured Replies

So my car had a service just over a month ago. It actually had a full set of consumables replaced - all filters, plugs etc.

Over the past couple of weeks, on starting the car up and for the first 5-10 minutes of driving I'm detecting what "feels like" a misfire. It's not constant and the rev-counter is doing no jumping around to indicate a drop in revs - on start-up they go to just over 10k, and then drop to just under a couple of minutes later.

After the 5-10 minutes all seems well, no sign of a misfire and the car "purrrrs" along as it should do.

Performance is still there, I can put my foot down and she moves as she always has -  just not during those initial 5-10 minutes after a cold start.

Car as in signature. Any suggestions?

My TDI 130 is doing the same by the sounds of it and it seems to be down to the injector adjusters as the garage swapped injectors out and still had slight misfire so swapped adjusters and fault moved even though adjuster looked good.

I will know if it cures it Monday when adjusters are fitted.
