The mechanism for lumar support on my car seat has broken..

 

Does anyone know how to take it apart. My Haynes manual is not a lot of help..

 

Failing that what other year of car has the same seat or which other model has the same seat or where can I get one.

Common fault.

 

Do a search for "Lumber support repair", and you'll find a step by step guide (with photo's) on here.

 

I know it's on there as I did mine last week  .

 

It's a crap design, but to add a little more strength to the repair I drilled a hole at the top of the lumber support and threaded the cable through and fixed it with a second clip.
