Help with rear caliper purchase!

Featured Replies

For a second time now my rear passenger side caliper has started sticking. It's been cleaned up, is fine for 6 months but for the sake of £100 I'm just going to replace it with new.

My car is a 55 plate but is a MK1 vRS, I wasn't aware until I started looking at calipers but I've found they fitted numerous different types of rear caliper (TRW and Lucas?) to these  cars which is a pain as at the minute I've not got the wheel off!

Is there any easy way of identifying what brand/type to get?

I've seen a load of pre-painted new ones on eBay all of which appear to be TRW and lucas, plus you don't have to mess around with surcharges which is good.... but yeah, I'd prefer them to match on both sides :-p

They are Lucas but TRW may remanufacture them?

Any of the green ones are OK

I have 2 brand new ones with brand new uprated discs

Mine are £130 + delivery

That's with 2 new uprated discs also ;-)
