Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'am currently driving a 1.8t superb elegance and will be changing next Feb. I was wondering has anyone heard if the Vrs will come with an option of a DSG gearbox similar the the one in the Golf GTI ?.

thanks in advance

I've been told that it won't be available with the DSG, but we will have to wait for the official line...

I drove a Golf GTi last week with DSG and was rather impressed with the box. The only thing I didn't like was that the shifts were the wrong way round for my preference.

I like forward to go down the box and backwards to go up the box but the Golf was the other way round. What would be really cool would be if this could be user defined with a switch. After all its only an input into an ecu....

Well the flip side is ive been told it will be available with the DSG and could well inc the paddle shifters aswell.

Seeing as you can can a 150 bhp Sport FSi with the DSG box I cant see a reason why they wouldnt extend that to the vRS.

You can't get the 150 Sport FSi with the DSG box. You get it with Tip but not with the DSG option. Now unless I am mistaken (which I could be  ) these are different boxes. The Skoda Tech Spec states Diesel only.

They are different boxes you are correct.

I thought one of a salesmen said you could be hey what do they know half the time eh ;)

Similar here. Superb 130tdi Comfort changing march 06. Options are Superb Elegance Tip. Vrs in the running, but I want DSG/Tip, or not at all. I would have thought Dsg available as the golf has the option?

They would be nuts not to include a DSG option. Isn't there an issue with the maximum power the DSG box can handle though.

Yes there is but Audi use it with the 3.2 V6

The DSG is good for 250 BHP then! That would give plenty of tuning scope for the vRS

I heard the 2.0 T FSI engine is hard to tune. Although I've just had a look on the AMD website, and they'll remap the Mk V Golf GTI with an increase of 'up to' 50BHP and 40 Lb ft torque for

That would be enough power to give a 3.2 TT a run for its money or at least keep up with it.

We are about to replace the wifes Fabia 1.416v with an Octy PD140 DSG H&K, and can confirm the only Octy's with the DSG are the 105/140 PD Engines. I also quized the dealer about the octy vRS (wan't to replce the Furby vRS at some point in the future) and he said the dealers have very little information at the minute, other thanit's 200bhp 2.0fsi T. There are also rumours of a PD180 version as well apparently.

What's a H&K. Is that a chinese import ?

No DSG in the new RS I was told yesterday. VW said no.

First RS to Sweden around cristmas.

I put some pics under events "RS-day in Sweden" with to new RS that I was looking at yesterday.

We was not allowed to drive them but the seats and gearshift were wonderful. The cars were guarded and after the event they shipt them back to the factory.

On pics the estate looks best but for real I liked the blue HB.

In the superstage liked the one in Top Gear a Octavia RS won before a Fabia RS. The Octavia had racetires and was familyer with the raceway.

Our "Stig" was very impressed over the dieselburner.

I think it was around 80 cars in the superstage.

New record for the raceway by the 570bhp Fabia rallycross.

It's an Elegance with the Leather in it (basically), the one up from the Elegance.

Yeah I know, I was just taking the p1ss as you originally called it an H&K.

I thought he was on about the new armoured Octy with front machine gun ports designed by Heckler and Koch with integrated gun case in the back seat containing 2 of these

Ever heard of something called 'The Official Secrets Act'. Who told you about this? Where did you get your information? We've spent 4 months trying to infiltrate a terrorist group based in the czech republic using a fleet of modified Octy's and you've just blown our cover.

Cheers.

Sorry was having a dense day..... should have seen all this coming ;) serves me right

As I told you yesterday we had A big Skoda event in Sweden.

A magazine tested the new rs 0-62mph and the time was 7,13.

They also tested the new rs on superstage and it was faster than the old one with racetires. The magazine tested the rallycross Fabia 0-62 and the time was 2,65.

You can

the 570bhp Fabia rallycross.

Is this due to replace the Furby vrs? When can I have a go?

The Octy VRS is going to be able to be ordered with a DSG box and paddle shift option. Trust me, I know this for true!!! XXX
