Featured Replies

Went along to the Tuner GP at Donnington today. Had a good nose around the very impressive 1100 bhp Mitsi Evo of RC developments.

The size of that Turbonetics turbo, yoinks.

 I`m sure it would bolt straight on to my Octy...

Yep :)

the downhill 1/4 mile was funny, but at least everyone was in the same boat. The auto technics turbo'd Elise was well quick. Scooby posted 1/4 of sub 12 secs, very quick.

The red Revo R32 was awesome on track, he was giving it 110% all day.

bit large that one

That sub 12 Scooby was awesome - would love to know what that was packing. I think the 2 best stealth cars were the standard looking VW passat with an RS6 engine fitted and the one series with a 5.0 v8, must have needed a shoe horn for that one!

Not as big as my new one.... ahem. :o:cool::D

They usually have problems of some kind, but I guess that the idea of a good demo car, run it until it breaks then make it stronger, that way you know the limits for cusomers cars.

First time out around the track they were doing live mapping on a lap top for the circuit.

And low 10's aint slow. Once you start getting to that sort of time it takes a lot more power just to make a small difference.

Just wondering if they need an electric motor to help spin up that turbo  - the lag must be pretty bad, but then once it kicks in - wooooooshhhh :D

Wouldn't a 4x4 have more trouble getting that power down than an out & out RWD monster like the Supra beast? Low 10s seems damn quick to me for a 4wd

Assuming the transmission can take it, a 4wd will be able to get the power down better as you're driving twice as many wheels so the power is better distributed. Where the 4wd loses out is on the move where the transmission losses become significant over a 2wd car and this saps the overall power....
