Led fog lights?

Featured Replies

I want to replace fog lights with led white lights. Which item should be chosen?

Thanks...

You want to replace the Fog Lamps with LED's? I honesty dont think you'll get LED's with anywhere near the level of brightness as the halogen fog lamps. However, you can succesfully replace the the Daylight Running Lights with LED's.

I should say that i did not need to use fog lights, only under very rare circumstances. So it is serving mainly for "corner lights", that is whay i want to change.

Understood. So is it the "look" that's the reason you want to change which I get. You can get many H8 LED units on eBay but you'll have to wire in resistors to stop canbus errors flashing up.

.... OR you could be a guinea pig for the forum, and try these incandescent bulbs out:

I've only gone an done it Jake! Tch.... More bloody bulbs! LOL!

I don't condone LEDs in the foglights, but something like this is probably your best bet: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251465470603

I have a 4200k equivalet of those H8's in mine and they are spot on.  I don't think you could achieve this with LED's.

Very nice white light given off.

Worth a try, but I suspect that their stated "50w" output is somewhat optimistic!

Actually, my main concern is although the seller said it would not cause any error light whether it will happen or not. So, i also plan to buy an "error canceller", but on aliexpress there exist hundreds of them in different prices. If i buy an error canceller what should i look for, what is important about them, that is to say is there any spec differences for them and should i look for specific canceller or value for these lamps? Or, can i make a random selection, buy any of them?

Well they say they're "error free" so buy them on that basis.

Haha!! Let me know how you get on with them. Mine's more hassle to swap out now with my grille guard in place, but could be tempted if they are a good match for the xenons and nice and bright for cornering duties.

Thank you for your guidance and replies. I found a cheaper lamp on aliexpress before seeing your posts and contacted the seller, he said that the item is error free. What do you think about this item?

They look interesting. 10 x 5W CREE bulbs, but then they say they are not 50W. Maybe something is lost in translation. Let us know how you get on with them - and what the beam pattern is like: how much of it gets projected forward.
