Thinking of buying vrs estate

Featured Replies

Hi,

ive been to look at a skoda octavia vrs estate today and am thinking of buying it. If i go for it id want to do the following mods.....

1) ECU remap, who is the best and what price are they and what BHP can i expect?

2) Bigger wheels as the 16" dont look very sporty....i was thinking 18" audi rs6 wheels or 18" golf r32 wheels?

3) Atmospheric blow off valve, what do you guys suggest?

4) Something to the exhaust a de-cat?

5) Lower the suspension, who does a good set of lowering springs for the estate ?

Cheers

1) - use the 'Search' function. Remaps have been extensively discussed. Jabba, APR, Revo, Custom Code, Superchips to name a few.

2) - 18" RS6 wheels will go. Been done many times, a 'Search' will reveal more.

3) - Don't bother.

4) - Plenty of options, again extensively discussed. Blueflame, Milltek, Powerflow.

5) - Lots of choice again. Surprisingly, also discussed extensively. Eibach, GMax, and others to choose from.

I have the estate :

1) - Jabba'd here - no complaints - pulls like a train.

2) - Left my 16's on.

3) - Get a CAI - sounds like an atmospheric dump valve.

4) - Blueflame - recommended any day. great prices too.

5) - Not touched yet.

You mean something like this one:

All the mods you mention bar the exhaust / suspension.

Drive round your area for a while before you lower it ...I ended up with a few places I couldn't get to with the suspension as standard .....if I had of lowered it I would have been limited to A roads and motorways only

mines not the estate nor is it a vrs but ive had it lowered 40mm and some speed bumps are a very slow process. once even got stuck on a drop kerb. had to get out the car, missus and nephews aswell and push it off. sometimes wish i hadnt bothered, but then when i look, i think arr well. i like struggling.

sorry for jabbering, no point to it either. do what you like mate.
