Guys, ive been asked how quick peoples catch can fill

Obviously im a bad person to ask as my car is rarely used and has only had vpower since new

So thought id ask the daily or frequent users

Tend to empty mine when checking oil and topping up washer bottle, not filled it yet

Mine fills up every 1000 road miles or so but it's a bigger mocal tank,not a diddy saikoi michi tank!

If I use it on track it fills up every 15-20 minute session! Haha

Makes me think i should nose what ive built up

Depends a lot on outside air temps / driving time.

 

Ive started keeping a record:-

 

09/05/2013 .....50ml

04/11/2013......25ml

03/04/2014......275ml

03/07/2014......50ml

 

Match that to weather conditions (ie cold air temps = lots of internal can condensation formation)

 

NB: As we all know the 19mm hoses should be fluro lined to withstand corrosive gasses / liquids, what are the sight tubes made of?.

Iv done 300ish miles and mines about a quarter full. I was going to empty it every service but think it will need doing at least twice a year lol.

I would empty very month from October to march as the cold climate will cause more water oil vapour in the head. Then every few months. You can normally tell can needs emptying as the fumes get bad from the stagnent vapours in the can.
