Collinite 845

Featured Replies

Don't hear too much about this wax but I had a go with some on her indoors car today. So easy to apply and buff off. Assuming it's not so durable hence why people don't rave about it?

It's very durable, I get 4 months out of it on my clients cars. Quick tip, if it goes solid in the bottle then pop it in some warm water & shake it up, all will be good again.

I use 476s for durabilty but 845 can be better perforrming for appearance etc. :)    I may well use 845 tomorrow as working on a nice black motor.

I've found it not only easy to use, but very long-lasting..but don't try applying on a cold day to a cold surface!

Indeed!  Tried once on a Q7 in winter when it was barely above freezing!  In future I will use powerlock in that scenario.

What happens in the cold? Thanks for the tip NM. SWMBO's car certainly looks sharp and slick! Poorboys polish, white diamond glaze and collinite on it. Hopefully she'll be appreciative in the morning!!

Used 845 today on a clients car, it was initially solid in the bottle but a good shake of the bottle & all was good. For the money I think it's a good value wax.

Isn't 845 sold in a tin?

Tried the thread Dinski but nothing about application in the cold???

Tried the thread Dinski but nothing about application in the cold???

I've applied in near freezing temps, not ideal, but apply thinly & it's ok.

Its thixotropic in nature

So it will need shaking vigourously in colder temperatures

Apply it very thinly and allow to haze slightly

I use a my applicator..better for liquid waxes IMO

BTW....Ive found that if you leave it on too long, its harder to buff off

Good luck

Its a great wax
