I don't know if anyone can offer any advice, but I've had a problem with the power steering on my Skoda (W reg)- sometimes when I start the car (particularly if I've parked with the wheels turned slightly), the power steering is disabled. Also (this is probably an unrelated problem) when I'm driving in the dark, I notice the lights dimming when I turn the wheel and sometimes if I flash my lights, the radio player stops for a second. I've had the fault codes read, and there are apparently no problems. I would really appreciate any suggestions of what causes the power steering to disable!
