Hi all.

Do you reckon retrofitting the flat bottom steering wheel to a slightly earlier (December 2013) Octy vRS is straightforward?

It's for a practical reason, my Scirocco had a FBSW and with the highish sides to the seats, it made getting in and out somewhat easier as I'm fairly long in the leg.

Thoughts please...

Hi mate

I would have thought that, so long as the airbag is the same, which I would have thought it would be it, should not be too much of a problem! Apart from the time to change the wheel over (and purchasing the replacement wheel) it's the airbag that may be the problem!! I have looked into changing the wheel on my Monte to the newer one, but the cost of the wheel, and a new airbag( as it's different one) proved too much. Best of luck. Keep the forum updated.

Thanks Steve, will do.

I think it's very possible.

The air bag looked like the biggest concern, however they look the same size/shame so the wiring etc should be the same and a straight swap over, although I could be wrong.

As for the FBSW, have seen them going for about £300 on ebay although not sure if I'd risk ebay.

I'd imagine you won't see a lot of change from £600 if you go via Skoda fully fitted though,..
