(Bilstien B14) coilovers and wheel spacers

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Just wondering if any of you are running coilovers with a decent drop in ride height and wheel spacers as well. I'm looking to do this to increase the track width slightly to improve the handling and looks ;)

What would be a good safe size to get for the front and rear track? Which are the best? I hear hubcentric spacers are the best bet? Which would you recommend?

Many thanks!

i had 10mm spacers on the front with ap's suspension and couldn't drop it right down rubbed the arches on a lock took them off no problems

I recommend that you don't since you may end up with too much negative camber on the front and your front tyres will wear badly on the inside edges.

However you can try it if you want, it won't be unsafe, just expensive on tyres.

Ok thanks for the heads up chaps. +2 against so far!

Seems like its not worth it if it chews tires etc

I'm running weltec gt coilovers with not a slammed drop front about 2 cm above the tyre with 20mm spacers and rear 4cm above the tyre with 25mm spacers I got not problems on front but only have a problem when I got three large people at back only rubs over ruff roads or bumps etc but when you got no one at the back or less people it's perfect

But the stance is beautiful I love the look its like the bmw staggered look
