Replacing Wingmirror indicator

Featured Replies

Hi My 2010 Greenline just failed its MOT on a broken wingmirror indicator.

How easy are these to replace and is the part number for a replacement 3T0949102

Thanks in advance

Tilt the mirror all the way down so that you can get your fingers behind the glass. Pull the glass off towards you.

Disconnect the electrical connectors behind the glass (that power the heated glass) and remove the glass from the mirror housing.

This then exposes the LED indicator housing. There will be two or three Torx screws holding it in situ and you will need to disconnect the power supply too.

I understand it is a little more complicated on your facelift model as the LED unit is a little larger but I believe the process for removal is pretty similar. Access can be a pain due to the mirror backing and the motors that are used to adjust the glass.

This has been covered quite a lot on here so try a quick search for similar threads, there are some pictures somewhere too...
