Ever had a car you regret getting rid of?

Featured Replies

I'd be glad to get shot of the ford cmax I've got at the moment!!!

A mate of mine has a new fiesta on order

To tide him over they have given him a demonstration car whilst he fiesta is FINALLY sorted.

He passed his test about two months ago and the fiesta will be his first car.

For his first demonstration car he was given a Ford C Max, we couldn't believe how big it was, five comfortable seats and a boot big enough to for a coffin and a weeks family shopping. You can imagine the laughs he got when he turned up in it.

Anyway

Fast forward two weeks later and Ford get in contact to explain that they have sold the C Max and therefore require it back, in exchange for a different demonstration car. "Surely it will be a year old fiesta, or something smaller than the C Max" we all said...

What did he arrive in that night? An Titanium S Max. It a absolutely huge! He's been the designated driver for the past few weeks, taking six people at a time from the local pub down into town. Like a shuttle bus. It's a beast. But not what you want for your first car after learning to drive in a Clio, and expecting something of a similar size to a Fiesta... !

The silver Fabia Bohemia I had between 2008 and 2011.....

Only car I regret letting go was my old Skoda Rapid 130, big mistake. I saw her twice in the years since and she was still looking well cared for :-)

Sometimes I regret getting rid of my Fabia - it's currently back up for sale on here and looks 100x times better than it ever did when I owned it (I'm more go than show). Was almost tempted to try and buy it back, but it's missing all the performance parts and seems a little overpriced (although I'm biased cos I know what I sold it for, roughly what the new owner made on the performance stuff, and what it's now going for...)

Nothing fancy. I had a Mk1 Focus diesel. Changed it after 3yr and 60k telling myself it would get unreliable. Changed for a Clio I then hated for 4yr. I still see the Focus occasionally. Lot of money wasted to change to a car I didn't like.

Join the club of Clio haters.

Me to. Had a S3 109 with side windows, took us all over the country in any weather. Sold it for a Disco which was a bit of a let down and never had the character of the S3.

Wish I'd just kept it and put the 200tdi disco engine in it :(
