Would say yes still impressive eh....

Must have been a taxi as it's an 07 plate.

Does it have the 1.9 PD105?

Could not say picture of engine here its at upull it Scotland   30102984_8_L.jpg

That's not a PD engine. Must be the older 110 TDI.

A lot of 07/57 and 08 plate MK1s had a PD105 in.

It also seems be lacking the injection pump. Definitely not a 110 injection pump.

Well must have lived in the thing to do that mileage, how come its on an 07 mark one shape i know trevor in york had an 06 Vrs ex police car i believe. Guy near me Rob has a 55 plate Mk2 so must have been unsold or something.

Good question there are a few 08 reg MK1's round here all taxis and all registered in Scotland (First letter of number plate "S") must be a company up in scotland registering them...but where do they come from?

the mkI was sold as the Octavia Tour after the mkII came out. Basically taxi spec with a 100bhp PD engine. Don't think they were sold direct to the public.

Must have got a good deal on them then would you not agree, saw your spec on the motor did you get that from the reg number.

Think you had to be a registered taxi driver to get one

That's the one! PD100 not PD105 like I was thinking.

It did confuse me the first time I ever saw an 08 plate MK1 Octavia. It wasn't a taxi either!

It's always odd to see a car on the road apparently from past it's sell by date.

I've seen a few 08 Mk1 octavias, a couple of MG Rovers from long after the factory closed, and also a Mk1 Golf from around 2000.
It wasn't a Golf of course, but a CitiGolf imported from South Africa but it still caused a double take.

The likes of the 07/08 octys are now retired( or some anyways) from taxi service and in the hands of non taxi drivers.

Loads of them in rochdale still doing taxi runs.

Good mileage but are the sills going?

theres a few over here too,

one for sale about 20 miles from me, on an 07/08 reg in Red.

Looks clean and well kept, but I knew as soon as i saw it twas a taxi = god only know what bodily fluids have been excreted in there :peek:

Looks like it interior not to good either. but easily replaced cheap and cars cheap as well.

So, I know what i said in my last post - Ex-Taxi... Run!

But, given its milage aint bad, and its 4yrs younger than mine - bit more power,

and... as its a post 2008 reg, the road tax comes down by abot 400quid a yr against mine...

Im tempted to go for a look!! It seems pretty well minded, clean etc....
