I have been having reception problems with the radio but the strange thing is that the reception improves to normal if I remove the PID-any thoughts?

Poor PID to mount connection or poor mount to base connection?

Mine has done strange things in the past.

My radio reception has been poor since I finally managed to get my free map updates.

 

I have been using the SD card instead but will have a go at taking all the parts off and reseating them.

Unfortunately, not on mine.

I have issues with my PID in that the media player constantly crashes on song changed and takes about 5 minutes to sort itself out. very irritating. Anyone else had this??

The PID is rubbish. Today mine was displaying the route but no voice instructions and the info screen was not picking up Status, mileage, just blank display. Had this previously when the battery was flat but the battery showed ok today.

It's a bit of a unreliable thing. Mine at the moment plays music either speeded up or slowed down or both together. It's really annoying me now as you can't listen to any decent music. That's through Bluetooth. I might try putting the music on an SD card and see if that improves.
