Clutch and gearbox tolerance

Featured Replies

Hello Folks

My car is 2011 Octavia II FL and has 2.0tdi CR  110 bhp producing 250nm torque mated to a 5 speed manual gear box. I am planning to get my car remapped to 170bhp and 380nm torque. I just wanted to know that will my car's gearbox n clutch be able to handle such amount of torque..????. All the replies will be thoroughly appreciated.

Regards

Should be fine. Obviously, total life will be shortened, especially if you drive like a bell-end.

I went from 250nm to 330nm at 50k (M6 gearbox). Now at 140k. Clutch is starting to feel sad (high pedal) but not slipping. I'm sure it will die before 200k.
