Yeah got my Boost back...

Featured Replies

What a result of a day.

Since fitting the welly cooler I have had unstable boost. With the old forge it was sweet and only fluctuated a few times. So was getting a little fed up. Over past few days boost dropped off big time to around 5 psi like on limp mode. So today I bit the bullet and started checking hose connections and all pipes. No change. Changed MAF slight change at low down smoothness but no boost change. Changed DV to original new one. No change. Changed map sensor to VRS from BAM one. No change. :(

Finally changed the N75 ECS one I have(these are a H) for a spare I have think it was a H or J( will check tomorrow) and wtf. A car so smooth below 3rpm. But hit the pedal and she takes off big time. I can't ever remember if it was this rapid but think the welly cooler has helped here too. Boost comes on quick. So as I had all spare parts no cost either. :). Interesting that the new OEM DV sounded better then the Forge DV so may fit it back layers. But for now I love me car again. I have a feeling the N75 was faulty for some time. So happy days..

Great news! I'm taking mine for a drive tomorrow, no idea where yet just to put some miles on and give it a good charge.

Score buddy! delighted yer stallion is running sweet for ya :)

nice one bud! :)

Cheers dude.

Glad its running well again buddy. This may be a silly question but as far as I'm aware mines still on the original N75. As its done 120k and a 51 plate is it worth changing it due to age? The car runs well most of the time but there are days when it feels a bit off.

Might avto change mine see if it makes any difference

I would say worth a go buddy. As you consider these things are what controls boost between ECU and intake worth keeping them in tip top running.

As they are situated at top of tip close to exhaust and turbo heat it does not surprise me they can fail.
