Iphone to samsung

Featured Replies

Hi,

After having iPhones for four years I've bought a galaxy S4 active as my waterproof case for my iPhone is knackered, it's memory is getting a bit full and the battery isn't as good since ios8, I'm keeping with Apple as I have a iPod touch and iPad air however my work mates have finally convinced me to give android a go. The issue I have is trying to get contacts, photos and music across, is there any easy way as I'm not willing to manually type in all my phone numbers again. Also on the rear of the samsung is a sticker saying not to use a sim adaptor (iphone is nano sims and samsung is micro sim) is there a reason for this? It worked fine when I used an adaptor before.

Thanks.

can't help with the adaptor issue but if you have a gmail (GoogleMail) account you can sync all your contacts to it from the iPhone and then sync them to the new phone I believe.

Adapters knacker the SIM reader eventually as the SIM will move about and warranty won't cover it (they'll be able to tell. You'll need the proper sim.

As for transferring contacts, iirc Samsung have a programme that'll do it all for you, otherwise go it via the Google route.

Yeah, Samsung Kies might do it.

Whoever your mobile network is should send you out a new sim for free. As above for transferring stuff.

Software, If Samsung Kies wont do it, there's also Samsung Smart Switch.
