Remap?Decision Decision!

Featured Replies

I am considering having a remap on my 2010 Octavia PD 140 4x4 with 23 thou on the clock. My concerns are will it knacker the DPF and if not which company should I go with? The engine is in good condition and I'm thinking of the basic remap.

My local mechanic recommends Custom Code but I dont see much mention of them on this forum

What do you think?

Where ever you go for your map make sure they have a rolling road and it is used when your car is mapped.

Like a few others on here, I have a Shark remap, stage 1.

Fitted to a combi with now 106,000miles, it transforms the car. No negatives at all*. Even fuel consumption improved when driven "normally".

I really only use it for overtaking - not only possible now but much safer when I do.

ps* Well maybe one. As the engine is smoother now, it is very easy to find yourself cruising along 80+. In foreign lands of course. But I do have cruise for that.

Better add,

they have various agents around the country, or you can get a hand held gizzmo to install the map via your OBD port. You can also remove the map, reinstall it. I think it even has a valet mode.
