What is the date for the uk launch ?

Skoda UK Customer services might know when the Order Books open,

or there are going to be UK Dealership Launches or reveals.

They might tell you, but maybe not before Auto Express or Autocar do.

 

Maybe even a Skoda Dealership will be able to tell you, 

because my enquiries were met with a 'shrug of the shoulders' type response.

 

They say in the showrooms early 2015.

They need to get sold lots of these MK2's they have sitting around that are still priced too high, and need discounting.

I was in my local dealer last week and they said they have only just ordered theirs. They are expecting it in approx 8 weeks.

according to skoda site November for the fabia 3 hatch and January for the estate

If they are available to look at in the Flesh in Dealers Showrooms from November,

& they get First Registered & on the road as Demonstrators,

i assume that is when the order books open for delivery in 2015 of Hatches.

& it will be 2015 before you see Estates in the Flesh & can place an Order.

 

Or does anyone know different?

 

CZ to English Translation does often seem to change the meaning of announcements.

They must have a fair few built now and in pounds and storage from the time since they fired up the production lines,

so it will be interesting to see the Build Dates for the first ones in Showrooms,

or sitting at Dealers ready to buy and have First Registered.

 

Maybe any Early Corrosion Issues will be clearly seen on these cars, and a good indication 

if Skoda have got things right from the Off.

Hopefully as we had with past Models & the Likes of non protected metal (Brake Drums) are a thing of the past

and all sorted out, and water ingress at door and hatch seals.

 

 

If there are All New 3rd Generation Fabia hatches in Showrooms & Demonstrators registered in November 2014,

 

then the first Skoda UK Owned, 'Used' Ex Demonstrators 3 months old (3,000 miles) should be up for sale around February 2015.

 

Bargains hopefully, 'Much Cheapness'.

but will the Salespeople tell you that in October / November 2014.
