Bad handling on vrs mk2 fl?

Featured Replies

I've recently bought a mk2 vrs fl estate and to my horror the handling seems pretty vague!..wouldn't mind but previously had the same problem on my other skoda!..mk2 1.9tdi fl estate.

Feels a bit wobbly on front end, checked all bushes and there all fine!..does anybody out there suffer the same as me?

Thanks

Darren

How many miles has it covered?

Check the Dampers (Shock Absorbers) & Springs, its maybe them that are past their best,

or maybe not still as the ones that were on when new.

My bushes looked fine but were totally hammered when removed. Makes a nice difference when replaced

Once the bushes are replaced take it to a decent 4 wheel alignment facility and get it checked / adjusted. Mine feels totally planted.

Thankyou for the reply peeps

Think it might be the top mounts on the shocks that have gone, guna replace and see how I get on!

Btw if anybody knows anyone with a mk2 fl I've got a vrs bumper for swaps for origanal one!!!

I have my on pi springs with a RARB and i know what you mean about the front end. Garage checked my bushes at mot time and said they where fine. When i had mine changed on my fabia vrs there was a noticable improvement. Im tempted have them done anyway.

What tyre pressures are you running & how is the alignment?

What are the lower control arm bushes like?
