Ordered at last!

Featured Replies

Well deliberated, read the online brochure a hundred times, test drove two cars, read lots on here and went for the plunge today.

TSI VRS, DSG hatch

Metal Grey

Columbus with colour maxidot/ mitsumi

Canton

Bluetooth plus

folding mirrors

Light Assist

Front assist

Leather with red stitching

front and rear heated seats

front/Rear parking sensors

Winter pack

spacesaver

5 yr warranty.

some packs conflict so may get some back as the dealer has never ordered one with this many toys lol!

Better to add and get a refund than it be missed off the car.

Delivery for hopefully the 2nd march '15 (allows 16 weeks)

with just over 3k off the list price, can't wait. :-)

Not wanting to create a new thread, I'm just gonna hijack yours ;-)

On Saturday, after learning the price list, brochure and most of the forum topics on here by heart, we also took the plunge and ordered:

TDI VRS, manual estate
Metal Grey
Bolero with colour maxidot and mitsumi (though not sure about the mitsumi part..)
Canton sound system
intelligent light assist
ACC with Front assist
parking assistant (basically to get the 4 extra sensors, looked more useful than the rearview camera)

panoramic sunroof

auxiliary heating

sunset /privacy glass

black pack (roof rails, mirror caps and front grill in black)

performance mode selection

gemini 18" anthracite

tow bar
spacesaver wheel

chassis protection

4 yr warranty.

and some other little bits.

The following are standard in Luxembourg on the VRS so not really an extra:

folding mirrors,front/Rear parking sensors, front heated seats, heated washer nozzles, variable boot floor, simply clever things.

And Skoda Luxembourg were so nice as to add the Crystal alloys and winter tires for free :-)

I was told to expect delivery in March '15, but since the model I test drove was ordered in January and only delivered last week...I'm not holding my breath.

What part of the mitsumi are you unsure about?

To run apple devices on a bolero you will need it. I tried the usb lead in one and it didn't work.

Cracking spec Bindinbear however, 16 weeks for a hatch seems a little long and I don't see any optionals that are currently in the parts bin lottery.  With that in mind, you may want to insist your salesperson puts it in writting that your on a 15 plate, in the past some dealers have tried to insist on car being taken within 10 days of being ready and I'm sure you don't want a 64 plate.

Apologies for another thread hijack :-)

I ordered mine last Wednesday in the following spec:

TSI VRS, manual hatch
Metallic Race Blue

Black pack plus (19" wheels, mirror caps and front grill in black, privacy glass)

Amundsen
Canton
Leather with red stitching
Front heated seats
Rear parking sensors

Managed about 12% off the list price after a few emails back and forth (used the repeat customer line quite a bit to get the price dropped) Was told a delivery date of Jan 31 so that is 14 weeks. Mind you the dealer didn't sound particularly confident of meeting that date. It's a pretty basic build ie not that many options, so not sure if 14 weeks is standard or not.  Any longer than that and I will probably tell them to wait until April so I can get a 15 plate. Luckily my current lease doesn't expire until June 2015.

As I am financing this using PCP, there were no 0% (or free servicing) options available for the vRS. It's highly unlikely, given demand, that they will have a 0% deal in the near future, but if they did before I have signed my finance agreement can I get them to do my deal on the 0% rate

Just had an update from my dealer saying delivery now in December. Could be a nice Xmas present for me :-)

  • 3 months later...

Just an update to reflect what the waiting times are like at the moment: ordered Oct 25th, got a call today that the car arrived at the dealers. They will add a few extras and I'll pick it up Feb 16th. That's 16 weeks from order to delivery.

For an estate?

Edited by Greg R

yup

hello.

I ordered a Octavia RS estate on January 12 . And today I received a message from the seller that it is produced in week 9 , so the car would be ready for delivery in mid-March.
