Dealer 'closed showroom' event

Featured Replies

Hi

Has anyone ever had an invite to a dealer closed showroom event or VIP event ? If so are there deals to be had or is it a bit gimmicky.

I would appreciate positive answers as I have passes for such an event this week. I was told by the dealership that the event is to get deals not only by the dealer but with help from the manufacturer.

everyone gets an invite! They do do some good deals though I think as they are allocated a certain number of models.

Yeah the deals are better. But everybody that has dealt with them in last 12months gets invited.

I went to one recently with a view to getting a Citigo on the 3-year 0% PCP deal, only to be told that they have little if any flexibility on the Citigo, and were not prepared to budge from RRP on the 0% deal, as the dealer part funds the interest free

I was prepared to walk away, after telling them that I'd been attracted to attend under false pretences, when I was spotted by the dealer principal, who knows my quite well due to currently owning 3 other Skodas from the same dealership

The salesman went away to see him, and returned to say that the principal had managed to find £500 in the car, a Citigo Black Edition 3-door, bringing it down to just over £9500

Don't go in expecting miracles on the Citigo, there might be more to play with on other models

The Blade group currently are offering a £1000 minimum trade-in on the Citigo, even with finance, and with a bit of talking this can be translated into a flat £1000 discount. We couldn't find anywhere in the country that could come close to matching it.
