My 05plate fabia vrs keeps blowing off "what ive been told,blowing the pipe off the intercooler" can someone tell me why this maybe or how to stop this from happening????????

The clips that hold it on are known to fail i would change it for a new one or jubilee clip or however its said

Other than that you'll need a new pipe (one in for sale section), or upgrade the pipes.

Ive put it back on with a new pipe and clip but still doing it! [emoji35] i shall try it with a jubilee clip (not sure it will fit as its rite on the groves that joins the intercooler part thats under the wing! im hopeless with cars [emoji17]) thanks for your help guys fingers crossed

Mine used to do this as it had the wrong clip for that connector (they are different for each connection) it should have one bent end point one way and the other pointing the opposite way.

They never failed again in the 2.5 years after I did it

 

Hi all thanks again for the advice,the pipe blew off again and i had to call someone out so its now in the garage [emoji17] i need a new intercooler as where the pipes meet the one on the intercooler has worn/split so its not holding anymore [emoji24]

I have a standard intercooler and pipework that I won't be re-fitting lying about...  All in very good condition - no problems running 220bhp anyway!
