Excessive engine rock on start up

Featured Replies

I have quite excessive engine rock on start up atm.

I take it this is down to the dogbone mount yes?

I seem to have the opposite, feels like the engine is about to throw itself out of the car when i turn it off. I did think it may be some kind of bush/mount issue. Could be something similar with yours.

Diesel motors? If so, do a search for anti-shudder valves and see if that throws up anything useful.

I don't know about rocking but my PD 105 often explodes into life when starting, no other problem, just seems a bit violent bursting into life.

na if it was diesel I wouldn't be concerned.

Its the petrol TFSI, the rock makes it sound like a diesel starting up lol
