Under body winter cleaning?

Featured Replies

Does anyone have a good maintenance regime for keeping the under body of the car clean and rust free especially coming in to the winter with salty roads?

I use a nilflix pressure washer with car shampoo in the bottle attachment and occasional wheel removal for more detailed clean.

Wondering if there's a miracle cleaning/protection product anyone recommends?

My old vectra had a nice cost of waxoyl underseal which no idea if if helped or did anything but everything as black underneath never went rusty tho so must have done something!

You can get under body lances that have an angled jet. Nilfisk do a 90 degree nozzle that is very effective (though I used it for the first time at the weekend - new PW) which can be bought as an accessory - https://www.cleanstore.co.uk/products/Product.asp?ID=3564

Just keep it clean in the way described.

I have an underbody attachment on my Nilfisk and regularly remove the wheels and clean behind them and dress the wheel arches

All this helps to keep it looking good and corrosion free
