A cheap wax for a budget wicked wax

Featured Replies

Not tried this or even heard of it before but it's cheap enough for a test, thought there could be someone out there after a big pot of wax under £5

Includes an applicator as well, just though I would bring it to the attention of you guys on here if anyone is interested.

Did you end up having a pop at this? Interesting at that money to see how anyone could hope to make profit out of that, unless a job lot was bought from a liquidator or such for pennies.

I dont know if is anyone "in the know" enough here to answer, but it would be interesting to know before labour, distribution and margin what it costs to make a product, and how much that cost varies between the price points from supermarket own brand to £100 hand poured.

Sorry mate no I never ordered any, still might now I've noticed this thread again.

The intention certainly wasn't to goad you into a purchase Carl, cheap as it may be.

with modern internet shopping age(ebay, groupon, etc) of false bargains and fakes imo, the idium "you get what you pay for" has never been more apt. Dont get me wrong it may be the bargain of the century but id guess you may as well dampen a fiver and try and polish/protect your car with that rather than buying this.

I was more interested in the supply chain side, ie what it costs to produce this stuff etc. I cant remember the exact figures but remember someone telling me a bottle of wine costs x amount in duty, distribution, bottling etc so by paying a little more the quality of product would quickly increase.

In fact you may be in a better position to answer this Carl with your father in law starting to dabble in product production, though I understand he may not feel comfortale making those calculations public for obvious reasons.

So back to the question of whether this is a scavanged product or made cheap.

I think probably made in a sweat house somewhere on the super cheap slave labour chain lol.

I do like to try waxes though cheap or expensive I think you can get a real surprise on some cheap waxes that can turn out to be absolute crackers.

Besides whenever I don't like something these days or don't use them much I tend to pass them on. No point keeping things cluttering up the shelves.
