Hi Tech1e

Yes I would have come to you if it wasn't for the distance.

So should I tell the guy to go to the ECU?

If you can advise on what to do I can let him know.

Thanks

Adil

Anyone else care to comment?

Just do as tech1e says. Go straight to the white wire on the ECU.

Ah missed that

Will tell the guy

Hi Danny, techie

Ive been asked if I can find out which pin it goes into.

Attached is a pic of the ecu wiring.

If I can guide him through this helpful and delightful forum, I could have cruise on my fabia finally! !!

Help most appreciated gents.

Hi techie

Been told the following-

Pin 14 - white wire

Pin 15 - grey/yellow stripe

Pin 16 - grey/white stripe

Safe to assume it is pin location 14?

Adil

It's the only single white solid wire that you want.

Sorry pin 14. The wire is on its own, been a long time since I had to know the PIN number, I just know the wire.

Hi all

Update on this

The kit is now connected - problem is now the guys VCDS and vagcom have not been able to activate cruise (oh how I wish I lived closer to Tech1e).

What is the method of activation of cruise at this stage?

Thanks again guys

Adil

Any other garages around with decent diagnostics?

It can be activated with launch tools as well, possibly snap-on but haven't tried.

Should just login (11) to engine ecu (01) with the code 11463, Thats it.

You will need to start the engine and stop to clear the load controller fault in central electrics (09)
