gtb turbo

Featured Replies

I'm looking into getting a gtb turbo and been looking at the dark side development website. They come as a kit with part of the exhaust and I'm just wanting to know if I can get away with just buying the turbo because £1900 for the kit is a lot.

You will need downpipe regardless.

100% agree with the above comments! Xman offers amazingly priced GTB's. Get the flange off him for the exhaust and then get an exhaust place to weld it for you if you've got a stainless downpipe already.

GTB's do totally transform these into very fast little cars :)

Get a good map on it from Faboka on here and you won't believe the difference :)

One thing to note if you go for a xman turbo they are not just a bolt on and go job, you need to set the actuator/stop screw, make up a oil return pipe, and ideally fabricate a lower brace bracket to support bottom end of turbo.

Not really hard to do, but you will need some mechanical knowledge or a m8 with some :)

GTB2260vk with manifold £650

braided oil feed £40

DIY oil return extension £15

4bar MAP £40

dp flange £20

dp gasket £5

next day delivery £15

paypal fee 3.9% of the total amount

= £816 all in

This was a pricing list Xman did for another person. All supplied by himself I do believe. So then it would be fmic, clutch, downpipe and exhaust and remap etc

injectors, decent suspension and brakes to stop it

LOL at the downpipe reducing to fit a standard system! !!!! :)

Hope you've let him know the errors of his ways Mr Restriction expert.............

Indeed, I'd definitely go with a 2.5" full system from the turbo back on a 2260, that downpipe is hysterical, 2.5" to 3" to 2.25", what a kludge.
