Hi, can somebody let me know if the rear silencer for a 1.9 diesel: estate, pick up and cube van  are the same/interchangeable? I have a cube van, bought a silencer off of the internet which said it was for a pick up/estate and doesn't fit my cube van. Cube van and pick up are mechanically the same, am I correct? Not too sure about the estate?

The tail pipe is much longer on the new pipe compared to the one on my cube van. I'm wondering if they have sent me one for an estate? What do you lot think?

Cube and Pick up are the same, the estate is different.  The estate has coil over rear suspension, the vans have a separate spring/damper system, hence the rear exhausts are different.

Thanks. I didn't think I was wrong. The company are trying to tell me estate/pick up exhausts are the same and that I have ordered the wrong one. They have sent me the wrong one.

The difference is in the rear axle beam re: suspension, you can in fact fit the rear coil/damper from a hatch or estate to a pickup but not the other way, on the pickups and cube the rear spring has a perch welded onto the axle beam which is not present on the cars

exhaust wise, the centre section is the same on hatch estate cube and pickup models

Rear section is dimensionally the same but the silencer and hangers are in different positions.
