Need help deciding on a Polish

Featured Replies

Having recently brought myself a Das pro to go with the pads I brought from ste I need a decent Polish to use.

I'm torn between Menzerna SF4500 or Scholl s40. I've got so Meguires Ulimate Compound that I've had for a while so I'm using that to practice with but I require something that's better in quality.

Any suggestions?

Those two are very fine..I use The Menzerna as a finishing polish on VAG paint

My recommendation is Sonax 04/06 OR Scholl S17+ as part of Stage 1 and if required on a mediumpad, finish with a soft pad and the S40 or Menz

Agree with Chris try sonax ex 04-06

Fine is what I need the paintwork is in quite good condition a few deeper scratches here and there, but mostly just fine scratches. I've started by doing sections with the Ultimate compound and that's already reduced the scratches so I'm thinking a finishing compound will give me a pretty decent finish for a beginner.

Haven't heard much about Sonax 04-06 so I'll look into that. Thanks

Sorted...Apologies

Scholl S20 is very nice, if you can get the finish you want with S40 then all is good. All depends on what correction needs doing, always start with least aggressive polish & work up if needed. Hope you achieve the finish you wish for.
