Are there any Yetis on this event - there must be one other at least apart from mine?

Of course, Jerry!

I'm in Gartheiniog tomorrow for the Recce, doing radio, and then Maesnant on Friday, doing Sector Official.

Not in the Yeti though, that's having a new front bumper and the NSF wing repaired after a little contretemps in Aberysywyth last week. Got a white Corsa instead.

Oh, poor Dewi!  No-one else hurt, I hope?

No-one hurt, but it was done in one of 3 car parks in Aber and I didn't see it until my return to the last one.

Hit and run?

Aha, see you there then.

I'm start radio for both recce and Friday on Maesnant.

Tomorrow I'm hoping to get into the Bluebell for a meal (treacle pudding and custard etc) before going home.

Got the roof bars on so I can carry my end fed dipole.

Looks like start radio will be fairly quiet after Bill's edict :notme:

Jerry, see you tomorrow!

Haven't seen Bill's edict!

Just checked Friday and I'm at J9 on Maesnant, which is a spectator area just below the Forestry Picnic area! Deep joy!! I hope I've got a good set of marshals.

Sorry Jerry, but missed you this morning.

There was a Yeti spotted doing the Recce for one of the crews.

Yes a red Yeti on steel wheels - I looked it over for any good parts!!

Jnct 9 is a beaut - very close to a public tarmac road, two concrete bridges giving immediate access to the live stage - best of luck.

It is wet out there

J9 does look alright, and there shouldn't be any spectators there either, according to the Stage plan, but............................

Plus I've got Calder Rescue down with the Doctor, so should have a good laugh with Richard.

Shame we didn't meet up.

Not according to the SC. It's yards from the public road, just short of the toilet block, cars will be parking for a "free" view" of the stage here - good luck.

The mid point crews will be blocking the two concrete bridges as well as the box junctions

Stove found.

Bacon bought.

Crisps and pop bought.

Flask ready.

Radio and aerial fitted.

Waterproofs and gloves packed.

And I've got Dewi back!!

Jerry, shouldn't be too bad.

I had a trip down there on the way back from Garth and they have put up BIG barriers where the track leaves the road, which is closed to all traffic. Expectation is that most will want to stand up on the road as it is well above the stage and gives an excellent view over quite a long distance. The banks down from the road are VERY steep so no-one will be on them. Just got to make sure that the footpath off the bridge over Severn Break It's Neck Falls is blocked and manned.

I note that I should have Calder Rescue, so that should be a laugh.

The water was nearly over the bottom Irish Bridge, and it has rained again today, so that should stop some people. The toilets at Rhydyrbenwch are actually a fair walk away.

Have fun in Garth.

I note that I should have Calder Rescue, so that should be a laugh.

Richard has just got refettled th'Ambulance back after it's fit of pique on the way to Mull so he will be more hyper than ever ...... good luck :)

Jerry was in Maesnant, not Garth!! Parked at the start with his big aerial!!

We had a quick chat but I had to get into the stage.

Yes, Pehar, Richard was his usual self!! Someone reversed into his Ambulance on the way down!!

A few other Yeti's around including the one that caused us a little problem in Hafren last year!!

I think mine now needs a wash....................

Looks like you had a good day Graham, even the sun shone.

Conditions caught a few out and from a few clips on You Tube, other were lucky too.

Could almost smell the bacon in Herefordshire!!!

....I think mine now needs a wash..........

Can we assume that Dewi came back from the clinic all nice and proper  after a complementary bath?  And now you're proposing to remove all that newly re-acquired patina without giving it a chance to settle in?  Shame on you, Graham ;)

(PS I thought Yetis were a bit like dogs - give them a bath and the first thing they try to do is roll in some juicy cow-droppings!)

Very slippery, but we were lucky and nothing happened in the second half of the stage so we had a quiet day. Few looked as if they'd been over!

I had a lovely smoked bacon sandwich for lunch.

Yes Bri, it came back lovely and clean, but I was booked so Dewi had to get his feet dirty!

I think it might take more than 2 buckets of water to clean.

Seen lots on the way too work this evening

I think they look better like that :)

I'm currently in Betws y coed and I've seen (heard also!!) a few of the cars in the road... May try to find exactly where they are at later on today :)

Enjoyed Brenig 1 this morning, was an interesting stage to watch

Does anyone know what time it finishes up today out of interest? (Bad day at coverage here so most sites won't load!)
