Citigo Pedals!

Featured Replies

So my new pedals have just arrived, Volkswagen OEM but they're from Shanghai so they cost a measly £11.99 including P&P. Had them checked by the local Skoda dealer and as far as they can tell they're genuine so for £11.99 that's a heck of a saving! I'll post pictures when I've fitted them!

They look identical to the ones in the citigo common mods thread. If they are, they're official VAG Mk1 Audi TT pedals. With the LHD accelerator. I've got them fitted.

The term "Rip off Britain" springs to mind when you see bargains like this.

What´s the difference besides look ?

None?

I got a set of these from this seller last week and only the accelerator fits well! The clutch is too big and slides up and down and the brake is very loose and twists around!! Disappointed! Only the accelerator fitted, don't trust the others to stay on!

Do VW ordered ones fit perfect?

No, seller who I bought off is Pro_Parts_Auto. Not seen these!

Weight reduction, so increase in bhp!

Nah, just aesthetic. But they're pretty good!!

Perhaps a silly question, but do these squeak when you have wet feet?

Like I said I took them to my local Skoda dealer to be checked out and the told me they were genuine, checked the packaging, the product against stock they had and they said they had no issue with them being on the car so maybe yours were just a one off johna-23?

I don't usually go for this type of stuff but may give em a go.

I got two sets for my Fabia.(driving instructor) .They discounted postage BUT, they wear out at an accelerated rate, they break and I grabbed my clutch, when I found out I can get them elsewhere for a fiver or so!

I deffo think they are not genuine. The accelerator one falls off too easily, although this may be due to being longer left hand drive version (few mm longer, for some strange reason)

The rubber seems really soft and it flexes about a bit on the pedals. Not too sad as you could add a blob of silicone sealant for both issues BUT (again) the rubber grips wear out and snap too easily! In addition, of the two sets I had, SOME looked stainless, OTHERS looked painted aluminium

Funnily.that suited my Greenline better as it has fake aluminium vent door and dial trim.  I did get an offer of a refund on return but the cost to send them back to Bulgaria was not worth it. I also found them a whole lot cheaper, making it worth replacing them once a year or so!

If they ARE genuine, at least Skoda will have two year warranty, change them every time they look iffy!

Oh, and they WERE a bit more expensive but they have lowered their prices. Guess it was due to competition and/or quality issues!
