Featured Replies

Fairly bland article with no real detail.... but that final sentence is a killer :)

Ive got to get me a set of those trump cards :D

Notice the wrong silver line wheels on the rs???

Are they going to do a Diesel vRS in the near future? possibly with the 2 litre TDI 170???

Absolutely, from what I have heard.

Good review in the Independent this week as well:

I liked this bit

Also' date=' Skoda's engineers have historically proved among the most adept in the Volkswagen Group at making cars that cope with the UK's unique style of road disintegration.[/quote']Having sampled Czech roads this summer Skoda need to as some of their main roads make our B roads look like motorways.

Even better is the way Skodas cope with car disintegration. [Like I said before, I've owned Rovers.]

Quote from that article

"It's faster, more spacious and better equipped than, say, a BMW 525i Touring - yet costs

If all goes well. I should have one of the first Estate's into the country!

When do you expect that to be??

When do you expect that to be??

It should be in middle of Dec, but because nothing official has come out of Skoda UK in terms of specs :thumbdwn: the lease company can't give us a quote. The order is "pending" at the moment....

I am ordering one to and am also waiting for the same information. What colour are you going for?

I've gone with a Black Magic. (Trying to make the car look smaller!)

I've also had to order rear parking sensors (company rule!), and gone for roof rails and the variable boot floor (I'm not sure if the vRS will come std with these)

This is the 1st time ever I've gone for a car without driving it. I've driven a Octi Sport and also a Golf GTi and guess the combination of the 2 is what I want. + Whatever anyone else says about value for money....

...If you want a fast estate car that isn't going to kill you on Company Car Tax or Petrol which must tow at least 1300Kg it can't be beaten! (Oh and I refuse to buy a diesel!)

They are now going 2.0L turbo, is it the same engine as the new golf gti?

I have a black vRS at present, so I was thinking of getting the Storm Blue as a change, though you have got me thinking.

I am going to also order without a testdrive to. I tried to get a drive of a Golf GTI and failed, though I managed to get a test drive of a Octavia 2 Elegance 2.0 Tdi and loved everything, except the engine, seats and stereo. So I will gamble on the 200bhp engine being a good one and order it.

I want to order it with the upgraded speaker package, reversing sensors and 18" wheels, assuming I can afford them.
