What Do You Think

Have had our Octy 55 plate with 59600 miles done and every year something goes wrong, see my latest dsg problem. However whilst at dealers saw a 2011 Octavia Elegance 2.0 dsg in very good nick. trouble is its done 77555 miles in that time although its had full service at this dealers since new, at 9 grand its about all I could go to with a part exchange around £2500 to £3000 for ours. Come next year and its up for cambelt, pump and dsg oil change which is more bucks. As I do not know yet what the dealer will come up with on ours next week got me thinking about a change.

Sounds like you got a Friday car ... mine has been a nightmare as of late too. Would you consider selling privately? You could get much more for your money than a dealer is willing to give you. Other than that, I would say a change is as good as the rest. At least you'll get a used car warranty with a dealer too. Go for it.

Under use can cause problems too.

Every car has its maintenance requirements, however old, and that costs.

Lot of money for a 3yr old Skoda with nearly 80k on the clock. IMHO.
