Diy Top Boost Pipe, What Bend Did You Use?

Featured Replies

Just wondering what angle pipe people have used when changing the top boost pipe from the egr valve to the standard intercooler.

It seems choices are limited to 90° or 45°!

Does 45° work ok?

Have read of 45s and 70s! Have you read the "top boost pipe replacement" thread?

I used a 90 degree angle off the EGR replacement pipe.

Yeah I've read the thread, I've also had his car for over a year now :D

He has a 70° bend on his but I was thinking of using a 45° bend insted, the angles are pretty close when side by side but didn't know if it had been tried and tested.

It's basically because I have a spare "setup" but don't want to sell it it someone if it doesn't fit. My car has a fmic on now so can't test fit or match up.

What length after the bend did you use?
